    Have you actually seen this film? The wife is studying misogyny for part of the film which, in part, reveals the causes/effects of her destructive and self-loathing behaviors.

    I agree that some of the scenes are extremely graphic and horrifying in nature, but mysogynistic qualities of the film represent it’s subject matter, not it’s genre.
